You know when you have a favorite room in a house You know when you have a favorite room in a house and you can't explain why? This is that room for me.

It doubles as a pantry and an office, and yes — it's small. But small can pack a punch when every decision is right.
I'd used this wall color on a previous project and I couldn't let go of it. There's something about that depth of red that makes everything inside it feel warmer.

The punched holes in the cabinetry are a detail I've been waiting to use for years — a nod to a style I remembered from childhood, growing up in a home full of 70s references. It felt right here.

Sometimes a room doesn't need to be big to be the one you want to spend time in.

You know when something arrives and it's not exact You know when something arrives and it's not exactly what you envisioned? That's what happened with these nightstands.

I found them on @chairish — 1930s vintage, shipped from overseas. When they arrived, they were short. Like, not functional short. I'm pretty particular about scale, so I couldn't understand how I'd missed it.

But I loved the silhouette too much to let them go. The original piece was just the top shelf, those vertical rounded elements, and the tiny feet at the bottom. So I added a drawer in between — necessary, functional, and it gave them just another special detail.

From there, the entire room was designed around them. Staying true to their vibe, letting them set the tone for everything else. Did it work?

Designed to make you stop whatever you're doing an Designed to make you stop whatever you're doing and just look. That was the point.

When we started the build, every window in this home was placed with intention — each opening considered for how it would engage the landscape, bring in light, and work within the space.

In the kitchen and dining area in particular, @hibbsluxuryhomes and I moved the window by inches to get it right, maximizing the view without interrupting the furniture.

No window treatments. Instead, roller shades that disappear into the walls so nothing competes with what's outside.

Lighting was kept minimal for the same reason — nothing overhead to pull your eye away from the mountains. Furniture low and uncomplicated for the same.

None of these are big decisions on their own. But together, that's exactly how a room comes together.

Two and a half years ago I started this project wi Two and a half years ago I started this project with clients I'd already worked with on their main home. This was to be their getaway, and Utah was the backdrop they'd been looking for.

The home came with a preconceived structure, and we knew right away that wouldn't work for how they live. So we took it as a starting point — reworking key elements until it felt more considered, and ultimately more theirs.

The idea was never about creating something overly designed. It was about making a home that truly reflects who they are — smart, real, drawn to beautiful things, but not defined by them.

This is the main living room. Midcentury modern meets European cabin chic. Colors just deep enough and always warm. Fabrics so soft on everything you want to sink in and never leave.

As summer winds down, I keep thinking about all th As summer winds down, I keep thinking about all the little moments we’ve shared in this house. This quiet corner has been the backdrop for lazy naps, book-filled afternoons, and way too many tavli matches to count. It’s funny how the simplest routines turn into the best memories. Here’s to holding onto them—and making plenty more.

Although I could never fully capture the feeling y Although I could never fully capture the feeling you get from being in an authentic Greek home, I tried to evoke this spirit using simple materials that came from the surrounding area. The stone exterior and its neutral interior is meant to create a sense of calm, slow living. Authenticity was at the heart of every decision. My hope is that when friends and family visit our home, they feel filoxenia (φιλοξενία) a sense of welcoming and a wanting to return.

This week I was reminded of just how lucky I am. T This week I was reminded of just how lucky I am. This picture was taken before we broke ground on our home. Just us, some land and a whole lot of hopes and dreams for the future. What we created is a place that I feel so grateful for- I have so many pictures and memories of family and friends here. Today we finally were able to bless the home surrounded by loved ones and the energy was perfect. Not everyone could be present but they were here in spirit. I missed my hubby the most. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and reflect. This home was built with love, is filled with love and only good vibes can come from it.

Summer is my favorite time of year—sunny, free, and full of laughter. I’m so looking forward to opening our home to family and friends, filling it with conversation, good food, and the kind of moments that become lifelong memories.

Here’s to open doors, warm hearts, and a season of togetherness.

My favorite spot at home is the outdoor breakfast My favorite spot at home is the outdoor breakfast area. Though it’s the smallest seating space, it’s where everyone loves to gather, and “get in” on the conversation. In the mornings, it’s the perfect place for coffee; in the afternoons, it’s for watching the kids in the pool or playing tavli; and in the evenings, it’s for unwinding with a glass of wine as the sun sets. It’s a simple space, but it holds the heart of our home.

Not every room needs a defined purpose. There’s so Not every room needs a defined purpose. There’s something freeing about having a space in your home without rigid boundaries. That was the vision here—a room that adapts to whatever we need it to be. It’s filled with art, a sofa that spans the entire space for guests to lounge or sleep, and a ledge lined with our favorite objects and books. We call it “the movie room,” but in truth, it’s so much more.
